This photo shows the sand dome area of an 'AG' class Allegheny, the sand domes being one of the major distinguishing factors between the C&O H-8 and the Virginian 'AG'. Many prefer the more streamlined appearance of the Allegheny with the smaller domes. Notice also the unique valves and sand line routing used on this version.
